Elanie Bieldt
Starting my illustration career at the age of 12, I began illustrating books for my mother, who happens to be a self-publishing author. She owned her own independent publishing company, and introduced me to the world of books from a young age.
Falling in love with book illustration, I worked on many different projects for friends, family, and strangers. I illustrated my first children's book for Lapa Uitgewers (Penguin Random House South Africa) at the age of 18.

Today, quite some years later, I have worked on 11 titles for PRHSA (Lapa, LUCA), and more than 30 titles for self-publishing clients.

I am now based in London, where I moved after deciding to complete a course in Graphic Design, at the University of Westminster.

I still read picture books, and get more excited by them than most children probably do.
