My career started at the age of 12, when
I began illustrating books for my mother's independent publishing company.
This kicked off what would become a prolific career as a freelance designer and illustrator in South Africa, and let to me landing my first illustration project for Lapa Uitgewers (division of Penguin Random House SA) at the age of 18.
Today, many years later, I continue to illustrate and design books for mainstream publishers, although independent authors and publishers remain my biggest clientele.
In 2023 I moved to London to complete a BA course in Graphic Design, where I am currently based.
What I love about independent publishing is getting to work one-on-one with clients, and getting to hear about the stories behind their stories.
Through my services, I hope to help shape those stories visually, and make the design process and simple and easy as possible.
